How to cast a circle:
Casting a circle is very important in magic and energy work for most. It's used as protection from negative energy and bad spirits. It also is used to focus your power and intent.

Now I'm going to assume that whoever is reading this is a beginner (not to hurt anyone's feelings I just mean to be helpful) and I'll put in the easiest steps to start casting circles.

((now remember if you are not allowed to use candles use colored stones instead))

Mark the circle upon the floor or the ground. Place a candle in each of the four quarters – green to the North to represent Earth, yellow in the East to represent Air, red or orange symbolizing Fire in the South, and blue to the West in association with Water

The reason to do this is to mark your circle. So you can really see it and form the rest in your minds eye(third eye).

Now you may pick which ever color that is your favorite for this next part but I think for beginners gold is the best to start with.

Sit in the center of your 3 ft circle marked with candles or stones. Then in your minds eye see a golden light start from the north marker and form a circle all the way around. Do you have it? Good! Now imagine the golden light start to grow upwards and cover the top of your circle like a bubble of pure golden light. Cement in your mind that nothing can harm you in this circle(bubble).

Now if you want you can speak a little phrase every time you cast a circle so it gets a little easier to switch into magic mode.
Here is one of the ones I use sometimes.
"The circle is cast
and harmed will be none
 till this circle comes down
and my magic is done."

When you're done just let the circle fade out and disappear in your minds eye and put away your candles or stones .

Now your ready to do a meditation or energy work or even a spell!

Blessed be!
Casting a circle will help in the craft to stay safe.
